The venue land was once occupied by the Clatskanie tribe. The Clatskanie are not officially recognized by the Federal government. The Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde are generally assumed to be the last remaining descendants of the Clatskanie. Thanks to resources provided by Grande Ronde, we are fortunate enough to be able to offer interpretative educational and cultural appreciation opportunities in alignment with the outreach goals of the tribes. Please join us in acknowledging that this land was once held by the Clatsaknie and other Rogue River tribes. We recognize the possession and use of native land through force. It is up to us to repair the harm we didn’t cause but still inherit.
